Nice to see the hills again, albeit most of the week in mist, driving rain, or both! Half way up Ingleborough had to turn back as it was so cold, lovely walk from Clapham though and also the Waterfalls Trail (well worth it). Dominic ran the '9 Standards' fell race on New Years Day in the worst weather of all. Back now to the Lowlands. - December 2013

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It is in an ideal position for visiting other Dales villages and towns, the coast and the Lake District. It is also very close to all the amenities in the village. We would recommend the Wheatsheaf and the Marton Arms.

Our best excursions were to Keswick in the Lake District, Kirkby Lonsdale - the riverside walk, and we would recommend Ingleborough Cave for a rainy day.

The Waterfall Walk and the walk up Ingleborough were also very good and the drive from Ingleton to Hawes, which goes past Ribblehead Viaduct, was lovely.

Thank you very much for all the extras at the cottage, the lemon drizzle cake was delicious! - August/September 2013

Thank you for sharing your very special cottage with us. For a start the lemon drizzle cake was simply wonderful! Enjoyed by us all sat outside by the river. We also thought the extra touches were very thoughtful (wine, fresh eggs etc etc) and make the first few hours of arrival to a holliday home immediately relaxing.

Niamh (age 3) has been very happy here, expolring her surroundings and the nice selection of DVD's and toys you left - I know she will be very sad to get in the car to go home.

The location of Falls Cottage is fantastic - so many places to explore from here! We have done the Dales, the coast and the Lake District all in one short stay! Still more to do so hopefully we will return again soon Many thanks - August 2013

Fantastic cottage, great location and weather has been great. Thank you for providing extra bedding and towels etc. Cake, wine all very appreciated. Cottage has everything you need. The river garden is a must with a cool drink and friends. Days out to Malham Cove is a must, fantastic views and 400 steps to climb to the top. Seeing the Fellsman loco (steam) over the Ribblehead viaduct was a treat and to say we saw it! Second time visit to Ingleton and this being the best by far. Great walks, the best being the waterfalls walk on fathers day. Food & rink... if you want a nice 15 min walk out of Ingleton to the Marton Arms hotel - well worth the great garden views. But for us all the biggest surprises were Friday night at the Three Horseshoes up top. Great music, food, beer - best we have had! Thnk you very much. :) - June 2012

Ingleton never fails to please its visitors and this is helped by staying in such well appointed accommodation. Do try Seasons bakery - wonderful sandwiches and cakes. Can't fault the Craven Heifer for good food and welcoming staff. Great curry from Spice Essence in Kirkby Lonsdale. A lovely cottage and a lovely place. Thank you so much for the cake, eggs, wine etc all very nice! We were made to feel very welcome on arrival, the cottage is spotless and had everything required for a short or long stay. We enjoyed the waterfall walk and somehow managed to dodge the rain every day except when we reached the top of Ingleborough and it poured it down to say the least! It then rained hard for the entire walk back to Clapham, so arrived at the car very soggy indeed, but glad we did it! Also visited Hawes and Hardraw Force and went to Chester Zoo for the day (1hour and 40 min drive). Recommend a drive to Cartmell (25 miles) to eat at L'Enclume and the many other restaurants and pubs there. Thanks again and hope to be back. - June 2012
